Conduent, a U.S. government contractor, reported a cybersecurity incident in January that compromised the personal information of more than 10 million people. The breach was detected by the company and subsequently disclosed to several state authorities. Conduent confirmed that the data exposed included names, addresses, social security numbers and other sensitive details. Investigations are underway to determine the root cause and whether nation‑state actors were involved.
